We have our own superb fresh food restaurant with regular dancing and drumming evenings. The beach is about ten minutes drive from Footsteps.  A driver will take you there and bring you back, or you can walk, enjoy the flora and fauna and relax or take a swim on arrival, or you can take a fishing trip, very enjoyable even if you have never fished before.

The Abuko Nature Reserve and Lamin Lodge are must for all bird and nature lovers. A guide will take you around the reserve walking amongst the monkeys. You may also see crocodiles, antelope and hyenas. Visit the museum in Tanji and discover the culture of the Gambians. Whilst there you can watch the weaver work, see the blacksmiths making jewelry and visit the museum shop where you can purchase locally produced goods. Stop off at the Bantaba for refreshments and traditional African music.
